Journalist, Carpenter, Manager, Consultant, Novelist.
I’ve lived in lovely places. By a small lake in rural New Jersey. A farm house on Cape Cod. Lake Tahoe. Denver. Portland. The Sierra Nevada foothills. Provincetown. A Victorian in San Francisco’s Mission District. A tent on a hillside in Vermont. A loft overlooking the LA River. Pasadena. Los Angeles.
I’ve worked with and among carpenters, tradesmen, journalists, housekeeping maids, school children, elected officials, artists, counselors, civil servants, entrepreneurs, political appointees, factory workers. Most honest, a few not. Hard workers and shirkers, young and old, liars and seekers, dreamers and cheaters. I remember most of their names, all of their faces.
I’ve always loved stories and how the present, past and future often intertwine. Perhaps a few more stories to tell.
